Chintaman Ganesh Temple, located about 7 km from the heart of Ujjain, is one of the oldest and most revered temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The word "Chintaman" means “remover of worries,” and it is believed that devotees’ troubles are eased upon offering prayers here. The idol of Lord Ganesha is swayambhu (self-manifested) and dates back to the 11th–12th century, built during the Paramara dynasty. Alongside Lord Ganesha, idols of his consorts Riddhi and Siddhi are also worshipped.

The temple lies on the Fatehabad railway line, and Ujjain Junction is the nearest major railway station. By road, it is easily accessible via auto-rickshaws or taxis from anywhere in Ujjain. The nearest airport is in Indore, around 60 km away.

Devotees can attend regular aartis and abhishek rituals throughout the day. Special pujas are conducted on Ganesh Chaturthi, Sankashti Chaturthi, and during the Bhadrapada month. No entry fee is required. The peaceful surroundings and spiritual aura make this temple a must-visit for those seeking divine blessings and relief from mental worries. Early morning visits are ideal to avoid crowds and experience the serenity of the shrine.
